Challenge
Germany’s second Basketball Bundesliga Pro-B is a highly ambitious segment in sporting terms, but one which unfortunately attracts only small numbers of spectators and advertising contacts. Despite this, the challenge was to develop a forward-looking new positioning which would win new sponsors for the team’s future promotion to the top German leagues.
Creative Idea
The secret of the rebranding we developed was that it provides a basis with which the people of Düsseldorf can identify. Dunkin’ D-Town was designed to appeal to basketball enthusiasts, but above all to potential sponsors – companies based in Düsseldorf.
Impact
The rebranding went down brilliantly with Düsseldorfers and Düsseldorf companies. Leads were opened up to numerous sponsors – then the pandemic struck. But everyone is eagerly waiting to see what will happen next.
